Robe Canyon
7 miles Class V
A short five minute walk from the road you arrive at the put in. A nice sand beach to launch your way into a great adventure through a spectacular canyon with world class whitewater, and amazing granite walls towering above.
After about ten minutes of paddling class I, the canyon begins quickly with two warm up ledges run center left, then left. then you quickly eddy out on the left to decide which line to take for the fist class V. If it is 5.4 or higher the left line opens up. At lower flows you have to go center and cut behind a rock to avoid the massive hole in the center of the river. If you get stuck in this hole your going for a long ride and probably not coming out without a bag.

Quickly comes T2, Two humps in the center of the river, you want the one on the right and get ready to fly. you can also go far left for a sweet S turn boof.

After another 100 yards your at Last Sunshine. Perhaps the most inconsistent drop on the run, but the usual punishment for screwing up isn't that bad. You will probably get shoved into the left undercut wall that flushes you down it right into an eddy. Or you will crush your landing and sail through with a huge smile. To do so you need right to left momentum and a near perfect landing.

Face plant can either be smooth sailing or you can take a hard hit to the head, so staying upright through here is important. Enter on river left through a couple of rocks. Then set up some right angle and work right as you near the bottom

So Landslide is still considered a portage to most, but for the few of us that decide to follow in Rob Mcibbin's footsteps, or in this case paddle strokes. It is a short wild ride with LOTS of consequences. The fist move is to bust up onto the right boil avoiding the seam in the middle. Then charging left to avoid the sieve. Then enter the second part on the left, boofing over the massive pour over into a narrow corridor of exploding reactionaries ending in a headwall rock that you must fade off of the right avoiding the sieve on the left. look very closely before running this. It is a PORTAGE.
Within 100 yards you reach Garbage. Eddy out on the left and choose which line you wanna take. Fish is seen taking the traditional left line, which gets pretty manky below 5.3 or so. Dave, perfecting his hand planting skills, is taking the middle line. that i like to refer to as the B Rad line. Boof the right side of the rock just upstream of Dave. Then thread the needle for some serious winning.
Fish
After running the left slot against the sieve, you have to make the decision to run the 20 Footer in the center, or the Cat's Paw, right. If running the center make sure to keep your nose pointed right.

Just around the bend is Off Broadway. You can run the entry a couple different ways.

The main part of the drop is a big pit that meets a seem, and you try and blast through
the cutain of water sending you under the water and through the hole. Unless your one of the unlucky few that gets stuck in this massive hole. Don't point your nose right through this drop.

Conversation is a two part rapid. Enter the fist part on the right and work center with right angle through the pinch. once it opens up you need to decide to go left or right of the island. Right has a nice sized hole so a good boof is a must. The left is a little easier, but still has a hole. then crash through another river wide hole.
