Before you reach the put in your brought back in time by the amazing old growth forest.  Usually camping at the secret put in is a part of the experience.  once you arrive at this enchanted place you wont want to leave.  The put in is nothing short of amazing.  This is one of the most beautiful stretches of river I have ever laid eyes on.  From the moment you set your eyes on the put in, till you reach your car at the bottom, you are amazed by the spectacular geology that surrounds you.  If you find yourself in the northwest in the summer, then put this near the top of your list.

If you put in at secret camp then you have the option to slide of the enormous slab into the water, or hike 100 yards upstream for a nice boulder garden warm up.

The run keeps up the pace with a nice class V drop every couple minutes.  After running through a seven foot slot drop you soon approch the stoutest drop on the section known as butchers block.  A stout hole that is followed by a 50 yard boulder garden. Scout on the left and decide to put in below the first drop, or charge it.

Elbow room, which is a recomended portage can be ran through the slot on the left.  It's not a very good move that tries to flip you into a under surface rock.  The fun line is to hike your boat up, and around to the edge of the fourty foot throw and go.

Ohane Falls is the tallest drop of the section.  You can either run the far left spout, or run down the center.  Either way is sure to put a smile on your face, and also get you ready for the next drop.

The next drop has a stout hole at the entrance that is usually sneaked on the far left then imediatly over another drop. You can also run the entry in the center, or right.  Ending the substantial whitewater on this trip.
